Ozzy Osbourne will be posthumously awarded a lifetime achievement award at this year's BRITs 2026.
The founding member of Black Sabbath, who died in July last year, will be honoured at the ceremony in Manchester on February 28.
Recognising his lasting influence on music and culture.
A tribute performance of No More Tears, curated by his wife Sharon Osbourne, will close the show.
It will feature Robbie Williams and former members of Ozzy’s band, including Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde.
The BRITs described Osbourne as the 'godfather of British heavy metal.'
Stacey Tang, chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee, said: "Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music.
"Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed.
"This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide."
Osbourne sold more than 100 million albums over five decades and Black Sabbath released 19 studio albums.
The band produced classics such as Paranoid, Iron Man, and Children of the Grave.
As a solo artist, Osbourne released 13 studio albums featuring tracks such as Bark at the Moon and Crazy Train.
He also launched the successful touring festival Ozzfest.
His accolades include five Grammy awards and induction into both the UK Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Osbourne also won an Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement with Black Sabbath.
Ozzy and his family hosted the BRIT Awards in 2008.
His final live performance took place last summer at Villa Park in Birmingham during Back to the Beginning, a benefit concert featuring Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
The 2026 BRIT Awards will take place at Manchester's Co-op Live and will be broadcast exclusively on ITV and ITVX.
The show will also be available on ITV’s YouTube channel.

Performers on the night include Alex Warren, Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, Mark Ronson, RAYE, Rosalía, Sombr, and Wolf Alice.
Noel Gallagher will receive BRITs Songwriter of the Year, and PinkPantheress will be named Producer of the Year.
The BRITs Fringe programme in Manchester will celebrate the city's musical heritage and contemporary scene ahead of the main event.
