A community cafe in Church has achieved gold status in Lancashire County Council's Recipe4Health award scheme.
Mr Gatty's Tearoom, based at Elmfield Hall, said the "outstanding accomplishment" reflected their high standards in food safety, healthier choices, and responsible practice.
The scheme, delivered alongside Lancashire Trading Standards, recognises food businesses that champion healthier eating, environmental responsibility, and strong social values.

Gold status represents excellence across compliance with food safety and food standards legislation, licensing and age-restricted sales laws, alongside a commitment to allergen awareness, healthier menu options, and reducing environmental impact.
The cafe is part of Community Solutions North West's (CSNW) 'Cup of Community' initiative.

Every penny of profit generated at the cafe supports CSNW's charitable work, helping to tackle loneliness, isolation, and poor mental health.
Chris Emerson, COO of CSNW, said: “We’re incredibly proud, not just of the award, but of what it represents: quality, safety, responsibility and a genuine commitment to our community.
"This recognition belongs to the whole team who work so hard every day to make sure we deliver the very best for the people we serve.”
