Drivers travelling to and from Lancashire this weekend could face disruptions on the M6 and M65 due to road closures.
National Highways has announced a series of planned closures for roadworks.
Drivers are advised to check for any potential diversions before heading out to plan their route accordingly.
To help you out, we’ve listed all the Lancashire M6 and M65 road closures that could affect your journeys between Friday, February 20, and Monday, February 23.

Lancashire M6 and M65 closures for Friday, February 20
M6
On the M6 southbound, Junction 29 to Junction 28, there will be a lane closure for permanent barriers on behalf of National Highways.
This closure will take place from 10pm on Friday until 5am on Saturday.
It might also be worth noting that there is a carriageway closure on the M6 northbound, Junction 8 to M5 southbound link road (eastern arm south) for maintenance works from 9pm on Friday to 6am on Saturday.
M65
On the M65 eastbound and westbound, Junction 10 to 8, there will be a carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting) on behalf of Amey from 9pm on Friday until 5am on Saturday.
This work will also involve eastbound Junction 9 and 10 exit slip road closures at the same time.

M6
It might be worth noting that there is a carriageway closure on the M6 northbound, Junction 7 to Junction 10 (M6 northbound Eastern Arm to M5 link road), for maintenance works from 9pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.
M65
There will be M65 eastbound and westbound, Junction 10 to 8, lane and carriageway closures due to general maintenance works from 9pm on Saturday until 5am on Sunday.
This work will also involve exit slip road closures at westbound Junctions 8, 9 and 10 at the same time.

M6
