Residents of a street in a West Lancashire town will enjoy the upcoming week £1,000 richer following their success in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Winners today (Tuesday, February 17) are in Lancaster, and those with a ticket and an LA1 4EN postcode were awarded the prize in the daily draw.

The winning postcode belongs to players in Barton Road.

Subscriptions to the lottery support a range of charities across the UK, with a minimum of 33 per cent of ticket prices going to charity.

The People’s Postcode Lottery manages lotteries for 20 charities, with each one having one draw a month.

The lottery is hugely popular nationally and supports a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world.

To date, it has provided more than £1.1 billion in funding, helping thousands of organisations and projects.
