A woman has been charged by police following a concern for welfare on the M65 during Wednesday's rush hour.
Officers were called at 5.45pm yesterday, January 7, to reports of a concern for welfare in School Lane, Guide.
Lancashire Constabulary attended to find a woman on the wrong side of the bridge over the M65, meaning officers shut the motorway between Junctions 5 and 6 for a short period of time.
The incident was safely resolved, and a woman was arrested.
Maddison Grieve, 20, of Bolton Road, Blackburn, has now been charged with intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance.
She is in custody and was due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court this morning, January 8.
AA Traffic reported delays in the area, and National Highways said queues were forming on the eastbound side of the motorway.
