Police were called to a concern for welfare close to the M65 last night (December 31).
The force said they received reports of a "vulnerable" woman on School Lane bridge at Guide.

A closure was put in place at around 5.30pm while officers dealt with the situation.
It was resolved and the road reopened around 6.20pm.
