Blackburn’s Nadeem Vali is once again putting his endurance to the test for Palestine, this time attempting to complete 100 miles in just 24 hours.

The 34-year-old, who previously ran from London to Blackburn to raise funds and awareness, will set off on Saturday (October 18) from Corporation Park at 1pm, joined by supporters waving Palestinian flags and banners to cheer him on.

His route will follow a 12-mile loop between Blackburn and Preston, which he plans to complete eight times over the weekend. Each loop includes three key stops at 2.5 miles, 8.5 miles, and 12 miles, with the main rest point at Chaiwala before returning to Corporation Park.

Nadeem’s plan alternates between a one-mile walk and a two-mile run, pacing himself through the long journey.

The first and final mile of each loop will be a walk from Corporation Park to Meins Road, with organisers encouraging families and children to join for this section.

Supporters are also invited to join parts of the route or meet at the stops to offer encouragement. Approximate time slots are Saturday at 1pm and 3.30pm, and Sunday at 9am and 11.30am.

The final stretch will take place at Corporation Park on Sunday (October 19) at 12.30pm, where Nadeem will cross the finish line, and a reading of the names of dead Palestinian children will be held. Everyone is welcome to take part in the reading.

Organisers have reminded attendees that this is a peaceful event focused on raising awareness.

They ask supporters to be considerate of road users, avoid blocking traffic, and follow parking rules. Drivers passing by are encouraged to cheer or beep in support, but to keep noise to a respectful level in residential areas.
