A bakery, owned by a former Great British Bake Off contestant, is located at a Lancashire farm – have you been?
Ruff Puff Bakehouse prides itself on its “strong northern roots” and puts an “emphasis on flavour” when it comes to hand making its brownies and pastries.
Former Bake Off contestant John Waite and his husband Paul started the company together and their bakery can be found at Cedar Farm in Ormskirk.
You can pop into the bakery to claim your sweet treats or you can order them to your door via the online delivery service.
Online, the shop gets restocked with brownies at 10am every Monday with orders being dispatched on Wednesdays or Thursdays, depending when they were ordered.
Currently all sold out, the brownies on offer are the autumn range, available in small and large boxes. Flavours include blackcurrant liquorice, salted pretzel fudge, chocolate chunk, pistachio and raspberry s’mores and more.
At the bakehouse, customers can look forward to grabbing a variety of pastries including croissants, Danish pastries, brioche buns and more – all of different flavours.
Customers have shared their reviews of Cedar Farm on Google Reviews, including their experiences at Ruff Puff with one saying: “Lovely place for independent stalls. Roberts coffee was great tasting coffee with the option to buy different roasts and Ruff Puff bakery - pastries to die for. Need to be early or you will be disappointed. Well worth the drive to visit.”

The Caramel Pumpkin Spice Danish pastry was “delicious” according to a customer who commented on the official Ruff Puff Instagram page. They added: “Absolutely loved it”.
Someone else said: “Seriously delish @john_whaite and what a treat to finally taste the famous ruff puff bakes. Utterly divine”.
