A referendum will be held in a Burnley ward in November to decide whether the council should adopt the Neighbourhood Plan when considering planning applications.
The Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared by the Parish Council in Worsthorne and Hurstwood and, if backed by residents, would give the community a stronger voice in shaping future development in the area.
All residents who are registered to vote in the parish will be eligible to take part.
Details of the Neighbourhood Plan and the referendum are available on Burnley Council’s website.
Key deadlines have been set for those wishing to take part in the vote on November 4.
