A total of 200 memberships at the new Cath Thom Leisure Centre have sold in the first week of being available.
The centre, set to open on October 10, is run by Hyndburn Leisure and has received an 'incredible reaction' from the community.
Hyndburn Leisure offered 200 Premier Fitness Memberships at a special introductory price of £29.99, all of which were snapped up in the first week.
The demand was so high that Hyndburn Leisure has decided to extend the offer to a further 100 members.
Lyndsey Sims, chief executive of Hyndburn Leisure, said: "We’ve been thrilled by the community’s response to the new centre.
"To see so many people already signing up is a real testament to the appetite locally for high-quality health, fitness, and leisure opportunities.
"Extending the Premier offer is our way of saying thank you to the community for their amazing support."
The Cath Thom Leisure Centre, funded by Hyndburn Council and a grant from Sport England, will feature a state-of-the-art gym, four-lane 25m swimming pool, exercise studio, wellbeing room, changing facilities, and a cafe.
Councillor Melissa Fisher, deputy leader and portfolio holder for leisure at Hyndburn Borough Council, added: "It’s wonderful to see the local community so enthusiastic about the new Cath Thom Leisure Centre.
