A pub in Lancashire has been described as “adorable” by one of its visitors and its location boasts canalside views.
TikTok user @anneka.c shared Th’Owd Tithe Barn in Garstang and said it has “so much history about it” and “it was just adorable”.
The TikTok user shared how she got out of the rain and visited the pub, “drying off and warming up in front of the open fires”.
It’s as “cute” inside as it is outside, according to the customer, and “it had everything you’d hope for in a little country pub.”
You can expect “beautiful” food served by “super friendly” staff.
The pub, which dates back to "as early as 1710", can be found on Church Street in Garstang and boasts canal views with outdoor tables where you can watch the world go by or get cosy indoors when the weather isn’t so good.
On its website, Th’Owd Tithe Barn describes itself as “a traditional family-friendly pub”.
It adds: “Soak up our friendly service and homely charm when nestled in the impressive canalside pub located in the heart of the market town Garstang.
“Here at the Th’Owd Tithe Barn, we are the perfect retreat to sit back, relax and indulge in our delicious food with the perfect drink in hand.
“Our traditional pub classics are expertly crafted from our seasonal menus and the bar is crammed with local ales and tipples to tempt any taste buds. Using the most seasonal ingredients and decadent flavours, there’s a dish for every desire.”
In the TikTok video, @anneka.c shows a walk-through of the pub, including the piano where visitors can play music, and shares footage of the outside seating area.
She captioned the video: “A day trip to Garstang… if you are ever in the area … Th’Owd Tithe Barn is worth a visit. Food was 10/10 and had plenty of vegetarian options for a lighter meal.”
The pub serves a variety of meals including beer-battered fish and chips, homemade steak and ale pie, burgers, steaks and more.

Th’Owd Tithe Barn has been well received on Tripadvisor where it has a 3.5 rating from 808 reviews, at the time of writing.
One visitor said: “Called in here after a very wet Nicky Nook circular walk. Never visited Garstang before - what a stroke of luck, gorgeous pub inside and the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had in a pub, can’t fault it”.
Another commented: “Deserves 5/5 and more . Everything about here is amazing ! Been here many times and will continue to visit . Had one of the best meals ever ! The beetroot falafels with spiced hummus were a triumph.
“As were the chicken strips with gravy. The mains were equally excellent. And apparently cooked by an apprentice chef , Michael. Well done to you Michael. You’ll go far.

“And our waitress Tilda was a delight. Smiley, lovely personality . All in all this pub is brilliant. Fabulous location, lovely staff , excellent food .”
