Six brilliant pubs from East Lancashire have been named among the top 500 in the country.
The pubs feature in The Telegraph's 500 best pubs guide which said they "represent the very best the country has to offer."
Six pubs from across the region made the selection, including ones in Great Harwood and Earby.
The full list is:
- The Lord Admiral Rodney, Colne
- Victoria Hotel, Great Harwood
- The Swan with Two Necks, Pendleton
- The Crooked Billet, Worsthorne
- The New Inn, Clitheroe
- The Red Lion, Earby
Colne’s Admiral Lord Rodney has received praise from its visitors with one saying on Tripadvisor: “Great real ale pub full of character, nice staff and good value.
“Do pizza and burgers during the weekend. Also live bands during the summer months.”

A visitor praised Great Harwood’s Victoria Hotel for its interior and games offerings on Google Reviews, adding: “Cracking old school pub with multiple rooms, original wall tiles and high ceilings with wood beams.
“Has two pool rooms, a dart room, and other sitting rooms all surrounding the bar. Had a great night here and am looking forward to many more.”
Another visitor to the Red Lion in Earby said: "Great pub with great beer and probably the best pint of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland. The beer here was cared for and it's worth the journey just for a single pint."
The Telegraph said: “Our expert, Will Hawkes, has been writing about pubs for decades, visiting thousands across England in his never-ending search for perfection, and each of the establishments on the list has been tried and tested."
