A magician from Blackpool has made it to the final of Britain’s Got Talent tonight (May 31).
Performing on the ITV talent show on Saturday (May 24), magician Harry Moulding, 24, was fast-tracked to the final after guest judge and social media personality KSI hit the golden buzzer for his act.
In the heartwarming moment, Harry used his magic act as a way to wow audience members - and as a clever for another person called Harry to propose to his girlfriend, Jess.
Jess, TikTok star, was randomly chosen from the audience to participate in the elaborate performance that culminated in her partner's shock surprise proposal.
Visibly emotional, Jess said yes, after which KSI pressed the golden buzzer, sending Harry straight to the finals, which take place today in London.
Harry, 24, a former The Blackpool Sixth Form College pupil started practicing magic tricks aged 10.
On ITV’s Lorraine he said: “Overnight I was obsessed. I love creating a memory and experience with someone.
“Saturday was the biggest night of my life and hopefully for those two it will be one of their biggest moments too.
“I found it emotional I was trying to hold it together.”
Harry said he has been watching Britain’s Got Talent since the age of seven.
“It has always been a dream of mine to perform on the show,” he said.
“To finally do it and take that plunge was the best thing I have ever done.”
Harry, who has performed at hundreds of events across the UK and worldwide, said he is “working tirelessly behind the scenes” to make sure Saturday’s performance is the biggest of his life.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Council said: "All the magic started right here in our seaside town for this Britain's Got Talent finalist!
"Golden buzzer winner Harry Moulding, 24, is about to take centre stage in the final this weekend and Blackpool is behind him!
"A proud former student of The Blackpool Sixth Form College, Harry credits the town’s rich entertainment heritage for sparking his love of magic. Now, he's about to share that magic with the nation.
"Let’s show him the support he deserves - cheer loud and watch him shine in the BGT Series 18 Final this Saturday, 31st May at 7pm."
Also through to the finals is nine-year old gymnast Binita Chetry, voted for by members of the public.
Dance group The Blackouts, singer Vinnie McKee, guitarist Olly Pearson, singer Stacey Leadbeatter, singer Jasmine Rice, dance troupe Ping Pong Pang, comedian Joseph Charm, choir Hear Our Voice and two secret wildcard acts are also set to take to the stage this evening.
The winner of Britain’s Got Talent will win £250,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.
Britain’s Got Talent returns on ITV1 and ITVX today at 7pm.
