The Red Arrows are an impressive group of RAF pilots who dip and dive through the sky, creating amazing displays across the UK and abroad.
With their red, white and blue smoke trails adding to the visual, you might wonder when the Red Arrows are next flying over Lancashire.
The team often attends air shows and does some special flypasts, with the latest being a flight over London to celebrate VE Day’s 80th anniversary.
When will the Red Arrows do displays in Lancashire in 2025?
Lancashire will be treated to the spectacular sight of the Red Arrows flying over when they arrive for the Blackpool Airshow in August.
The Red Arrows will perform at the airshow on August 9 and 10 this year.
You might even spot them flying to and from other events so it’s worth keeping an eye on the sky.
Since the Red Arrows’ first season in 1965, they have performed almost 5,000 displays in 57 countries. The Red Arrows are led by Red 1, Squadron Leader Jon Bond.
The former frontline Typhoon pilot, from Essex, joined the RAF in 2006. The 2025 season is his second year as team leader, responsible for choreographing the new display routine, which is seen by millions of people at big events and air shows.
Red Arrows flew over London for VE Day celebrations
Thousands of people lined the Mall to catch a glimpse of the Red Arrows during the RAF flypast for the VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations in London on May 5.
Leading the flypast was the Lancaster, the most successful RAF heavy bomber of the Second World War.
Four generations of the Royal Family watched the flypast from the Buckingham Palace balcony, including the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

They were joined by the Princess Royal, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke of Kent.
Hundreds of spectators lined Waterloo Bridge to see the aircraft over the Thames and despite intermittent rain, the flypast went ahead as planned.
When is VE Day 2025?
VE Day will take place on May 8, as it does every year - in 2025, May 8 falls on a Thursday.
Why do we celebrate VE Day?
Celebrations are expected to take place across the country on and leading up to May 8.

VE Day, short for Victory in Europe Day, is celebrated every year on May 8 to mark the day the Allies formally accepted Germany’s surrender in 1945.
Commemorations will mark the end of the war, including a Red Arrows flypast in London and a service at Westminster Abbey with members of the royal family.
Street parties, an installation of 30,000 ceramic poppies and more are also expected.
