Blackburn Rovers will have Todd Cantwell, Emmanuel Dennis and potentially Augustus Kargbo available for the squad against Watford.

Cantwell missed the win at Sunderland on Easter Monday due to illness. He's now returned to training and will be back to face the Hornets.

Dennis will also be on the bench against his former club after returning to training. Kargbo is likely to be back too but he is still being assessed.

"Yeah, he's back in training with the sickness now behind him. So he's ready to go," Ismael said, starting with Cantwell.

"After the Sunderland game, Dennis and AK (Kargbo) are back in training. So they are available for the game so we will see, especially with AK. If it makes sense to pick him straight away now or to wait for the next game.

"At least they are back in training, so he looks much, much better now. On the pitch, we are working, so a lot of players are back. Less in rehab, so it's a good feeling.

"We have to be very careful with him, so it took a little bit longer than usual. But he's a powerful player, so we have to be careful, that's why I told you. We have to assess properly what makes sense for us and for him.

"We have to make sure that we can have him from day one in the pre-season. But for sure, if he's able now to come back to get some minutes, then we have to do it."

"I had the same situation last season with him at Watford," he continued on Dennis.

"He came in and it took time for him to get in shape. It's unfortunately the problem sometimes with loan players.

"They don't have time, but when they get injured they need more time. But time is running and you have to go back where you belong. At least he's now available and hopefully, he can get some success for himself in the two last games."

Hayden Carter could make his return from injury against Sheffield United in the final game of the season.

"The plan is he might be back next week with the team to train," he continued.

"If it's the case and if he's able to go through all the week, then he will be potentially available for the last game."
