A community has celebrated the relaunch of a SPAR store in Lancashire.
SPAR Barrowford reopened on Wednesday after a complete refurbishment, leaving customers 'open-mouthed' at the transformation.
The store was officially reopened by the Mayor of Pendle, Councillor Mohammad Aslam, who was joined by representatives from Barrowford Celtic Football Club and Barrowford Cricket Club.
The clubs have received contributions from SPAR ahead of the relaunch.
The reopening event included a performance by Barrowford School Choir and a family fun day with face painting, in-store games, free samples, and free hot drinks.
The refurbishment has seen the installation of a new Food To Go area, offering a range of sandwiches and hot food.
A new 'Cheeky Coffee' machine has also been installed, offering hot drinks as part of SPAR meal deals.
The store now stocks a wider range of fresh fruit and vegetables, including loose produce and mix-and-match deals.
The range of freshly baked bread has also been increased.
The store's entrance has been redesigned to maximise floor space, and new refrigeration, lighting, and shelving have been installed.
Fiona Drummond, company stores director, said: "From the moment you walk through the door, SPAR Barrowford has the wow factor.
"We have transformed our offer and created a warm and inviting community store."
