A musical about the wives of Henry VIII is set to return to Blackpool.

The 'multi award-winning' musical Six will return to the Winter Gardens for the fourth time as part of its UK tour.

The musical, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, will run from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

This follows three previous sell-out runs at the venue.

Six tells the story of the six wives of Henry VIII, who take to the mic to tell their personal tales, remixing 'five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st-century girl power.'

The show has won more than 35 international awards, including the Tony Award for Best Original Score and Best Costume Design.

It is also a double winner of the Whatsonstage Award for Best West End Show and has a Gold-Disk-winning album.

The production is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille.

The design team includes Emma Bailey for set design, Gabriella Slade for costume design, Tim Deiling for lighting design, and Paul Gatehouse for sound design.

The score features orchestrations by Tom Curran, with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton.

Musical director Yutong Zhang and associate UK musical supervisor Lauren Hopkinson also contribute to the production.

Casting is by Pearson Casting.

Six is produced by Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes, and George Stiles.

Tickets will go on sale from 10am to Winter Gardens members on December 5, and on general sale from 10am on December 6, 2024.
