We occasionally come across photos in the archive from the days when East Lancashire was the UK’s Acid House capital.
Hundreds of people would take over former industrial premises in the area for all night raves, their locations being kept a secret until the last minute.
This picture was taken in October 1989 and shows the interior of the former Northrop Engineering works which had been used for a ‘rave’.
