A Preston pub is set to reopen after a £283,000 makeover.
The Lancaster Gate, previously known as The Black A Moor, in Lancaster Road, will officially reopen on December 6 following the investment.
The pub is part of Proper Pubs, a community-focused division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 200 pubs throughout the UK.
Beth and Damian Hodgson, who have seven years of industry experience, will be at the helm of the pub.
They have successfully managed another nearby community pub and aim to make The Lancaster Gate an 'essential social hub' in Preston.
The inside of the pub has been refurbished with new furniture, fixtures, and fittings to create a 'modern and inviting atmosphere.'
The outside of the pub has also been spruced up with new lighting and signage.
Mr and Mrs Hodgson said: "The pub is already looking fantastic, and it’s been amazing to see how quickly it has transformed.
"We’re both really passionate about giving back to our community, so we plan on hosting plenty of events in aid of important local causes."
The pub will celebrate its reopening with a weekend of live entertainment.
Local father-daughter duo, The Stand Inns, will perform on December 6 at 8pm, followed by a set from local band, Stone Cutter, on December 7 at 7.30pm.
Matthew Gurney, operations director for Proper Pubs, said: "I’m delighted to welcome Beth and Damian to The Lancaster Gate, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it reopen.
"It’s been a pleasure working with them – their energy and passion is tangible, and I am confident they will do a great job at bringing their vision to life."
The pub will offer a range of drinks deals and plans to introduce a regular schedule of entertainment including quizzes, games nights, bingo evenings and darts tournaments.
