Roadworks on one of the busiest roads into and out of Blackburn could be coming to an end.
The three-way traffic lights at the junction with Bank Top, Redlam and Garden Street have caused long queues at rush hour.
Motorist have been forced to take diversion along Wensley Road for the previous two weeks.
According to the one.network the roadworks are due to gas pipe works and were projected to be lifted on November 27.
A small amount of rubble lays in one section of the road with work being completed on the footpath.
Meanwhile, the junction at Feilden Street and Barton Street next to the Reel Cinema and opposite the Dhana Lounge is closed to traffic.
Work is being conducted by Electricity North West and is due to completed by November 29.
