A man charged over a burglary at the Burnley FC club shop will be sentenced next month.
Ryan Williams, 23, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 22, following the incident at Burnley's stadium on Harry Potts Way on Sunday, October 20.
Police received reports of a burglary in progress at the club's merchandise store where a window had been smashed to gain entry.
Officers attended and found a man in his 20s close to the shop with a cut on his head.
He was taken to hospital and was arrested on suspicion of burglary shortly after.
Williams, of Pritchard Street, Burnley, will be back at Blackburn Magistrates' Court on November 8 to be sentenced.
A police spokesperson said: "Just before 9am on Sunday, October 20, we received a report of a burglary in progress at the Burnley FC store on Harry Potts Way where a window had been smashed to gain entry.
"Our officers attended and found a man in his 20s a short distance from the store, who had sustained a serious cut to his head.
"He was taken to hospital to receive treatment and was arrested on suspicion of burglary shortly after."
