The M55 eastbound was closed last night (October 23) and we have details about why.
The motorway, near junction two, was experiencing heavy delays due to a vehicle catching fire.
Police recommended finding an alternative route and “driving carefully”.
A police spokesperson said: “We want to update you and let you know that M55 junction two eastbound is currently experiencing heavy delays due to a vehicle catching fire.
“We anticipate that the delays will be in place for a short while whilst we assess the situation.
“In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.
“We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening and we’ll update you here once the motorway is cleared.
“As always, thank you for your patience and stay safe if you’re out and about today.”
