The main building at Huncoat Power Station is brought down to earth with a bang as demolition teams got to work.
This large building had housed the main generators at the power station which opened in 1952.
The power station was closed by the Central Electricity Generating Board in 1984 with the cooling towers being demolished in 1988.
The two chimneys and the main buildings were demolished two years later and much of the site was subsequently used for housing.
