An entrepreneur who started off washing cars with a bucket and sponge now cleans some of the most expensive vehicles in the country.
Ethan Bennett runs Deluxe Details and is hoping to open his own unit on Whalley New Road in Brownhill.
For five years he worked full-time and spent his evenings and weekends cleaning cars.
He said: “I got given a bucket and sponge as a Christmas gift to clean my own car.
“It just took off from there really.
“Slowly, as people noticed my work, I began taking on more customers, moving from basic car valeting into full detailing, machine polishing and ceramic coatings.
“By July 2022, I had enough momentum to take the leap and run Deluxe Details full-time.
“I've been trusted to clean some of the most expensive vehicles in the north west for a lot of high-end clientele.
“From Porsches to Ferraris and Lamborghinis we've cleaned them all. I’ve just been passionate about what I do from the start."
He said he was proud of what he had achieved from humble beginnings and hard work.
“It is a journey that can help anyone who thinks they have a dream and want to go for it.
“Many feel stuck in the typical 9-5 routine but it does not have to be that way if you put the effort in."
Ethan said he had worked on a range of cars and vehicles, including a tractor.
“There are some really usual ones. One of the most expensive would be Lamborghini Avantador SVJ.
“A John Deere tractor took about three hours to complete. A lot of the farm machinery tends to be tractors as they like to have the interior cleaned.
“We see ourselves as detailers and not valets as we use the more expensive products to clean the cars as using certain products can damage the interior and the paintwork.
"We can sometimes spend up to two to three hours detailing a vehicle. They are expensive cars and you really have to be careful and take your time."
