Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes after a crash on a main road in Accrington this afternoon (September 26).
Whalley Road is closed between the junctions with Wyresdale Avenue and Talbot Road due to the crash.
Police are on the scene assessing the situation and have urged drivers to avoid the area.
A police spokesperson said: "We anticipate that the road will be closed for a short amount of time whilst we clear the road and assess the situation.
"In the meantime, we'd recommend looking for an alternative route and avoiding the area.
"As always, thank you for your patience."
Update: Lancashire Police have confirmed the road is open again
