A bistro in Longridge is set to close its doors – but something new is set to take its place.
Fell Bistro, known for serving modern bistro dishes, is set to be replaced by pizzeria Oh! Pizza from October 4.
The restaurant, which has been open for two years, will be closing its doors after its final service on September 29.
The Oh! Pizza brand was founded by the team behind Fell Bistro, Matt Willdigg, Alex Blamire, and Oli Martin.
The brand started as a pop-up and casual catering concept, and has collaborated with luxury brands such as Porsche.
The trio are aiming to bring authentic, hand-crafted pizza with a modern twist to the heart of Longridge.
Matt, a former contestant on MasterChef: The Professionals and an alumnus of renowned restaurants such as Michelin-starred Italian restaurant Murano by Angela Hartnett, is thrilled to be bringing his love for Italian food to life with this new venture.
After honing his craft at some of the best restaurants in the UK, Matt is now ready to fire up Oh!’s big pizza oven and create something truly special for the community.
He said: "Oh! Pizza is a dream come true for me.
"Pizza has always been a part of my life. It reminds me of being with my family, and I believe everyone has that connection with pizza.
“I’ve always wanted to open my own pizzeria, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in Longridge to come and enjoy what we’ve created.
“It’s bittersweet to close Fell, but we feel the time is right. It’s been an amazing two years, and we can’t thank our loyal guests and team enough for your support. We hope you’ll join us on this exciting new chapter with Oh! Pizza!”
Oh! Pizza will offer a menu inspired by traditional Neapolitan pizzas, promising the finest, freshest ingredients to create “mouth-watering pizzas with a signature light, airy crust and perfectly blistered edges”.
As well as classic pizzas, Garlic Prawn, nduja and taleggio cheese and hen of the woods mushrooms will also be used as toppings.
Oh! will also offer rotating guest pizzas created by some of the area's finest chefs.
Street food-inspired starters, along with classic desserts reinvented with a modern twist, will also be on the menu.
A spokesperson said: “Oh! is designed to be a fun, family-friendly destination, offering both dine-in and takeaway options.
“Weekday promotional events and there will even be a dedicated kids' play area upstairs, allowing parents to relax and enjoy their meal in the spacious upstairs dining room.
“In light of this new opening, Fell Bistro will be closing its doors after its final service on September 29.
"The team behind Fell Bistro is excited to focus their efforts on making Oh! Pizza is a standout destination in Longridge, while continuing to deliver the same level of quality and creativity that has become their signature.”
Bookings for Oh! Pizza are available from October 3, and guests can make reservations via the website.
