A community has been left shocked and saddened as police continue their murder investigation into the tragic death of a 35-year-old.
Flowers have been left outside the house on Walnut Avenue in Bury where Barbara Nomakhosi was discovered with multiple injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were called at 10.30pm on Friday, September 6 after receiving a concern for welfare report.
The murder suspect was hit and killed by a lorry on the carriageway of the M65 an hour and half before his alleged victim was found dead, police said.
The man, in his 40s, is believed to have killed carer Barbara.
He was struck by a HGV on the eastbound carriageway of the M65 in Lancashire around 9pm and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was shut for 18 hours between Junction 5 for Guide and Junction 6 for Blackburn, while officers dealt with the incident.
Police found Barbara's body around 17 miles away in Walnut Avenue in Bury.
No other suspects are thought to be involved in the incident and there is no wider risk to the public.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Davis, from GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “I know just how much Barbara’s family will miss her, and I hope that the memories of her can provide comfort as they begin to come to terms with this heart-breaking loss.
“This is a complex investigation which is very much ongoing, and we remain in contact with colleagues in Lancashire as they progress their own investigation into the circumstances of the fatal collision.
“We are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with this tragic incident and I want to reassure residents that there is no wider threat to the community. We will continue to support Barbara’s family and will be doing everything we can to help them through this process.”
