Police are appealing for information about an attempted burglary in Accrington.
In the early hours of the morning (September 10), at around 3am, a man was seen trying to enter through the back door of the property on Springhill Road.
He was disturbed and ran away.
Police were in attendance but were unable to track the man down.
Officers are urging homeowners to keep doors, back gates car doors and windows secure at all times.
A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating an attempted burglary which happened at 3am on September 10.
“One male was seen trying to enter through the back door of the property on Springhill Road. They were disturbed and ran away.
“Police attended the area within minutes of the call, unfortunately, we weren't able to track the male down.
“Please keep your doors, back gates car doors and windows secure at all times and make it harder for criminals to target.
“Report anything you feel is untoward to 999 if the threat is high or 101 if the incident has passed. We will continue to step up our patrols in the area.
