Pictures: Crash involving bus and car in Blackburn

Yesterday afternoon, there were reports of a crash on Windsor Road, at the junction of Blackburn Road.

The Blackburn Bus Company said it is investigating the cause of the accident.

A woman said she had to “put her foot down” in order to avoid being involved in the crash.

She said: “I don’t know how this bus missed me. I put my foot down and it hit this poor lady instead…I just banged my foot down and got around the corner.”

Pictures show a black car with damage to its left side. The bumper also appears to have been torn off the Blackburn Bus Company bus.

A spokesperson for The Blackburn Bus Company said “We are aware of an incident involving one of our vehicles on Tuesday, September 2.

"We are investigating the cause of the accident and co-operating with the other party involved in the accident.”
