A man from Colne has been jailed for eight weeks after racially abusing a police officer.
Mark Bell, 50, had his sentence uplifted from six weeks by Blackburn Magistrates' Court.
Bell, of Oak Street, racially abused the officer at a police station in Blackburn in June.
He was also ordered to pay a £154 surcharge.
A spokesperson for CPS North West said: "Mark Bell, 50 from Colne, has been jailed for eight weeks (which Blackburn magistrates uplifted from six weeks for committing a hate crime) after he racially abused a Lancashire Police officer at Blackburn police station in June this year."
