A free family community fun day in Blackburn is expected to attract hundreds of people.
The event will take place on Sunday, August 25 at the Audley Centre off Chester Street.
The event aims to raise funds for the Huffaz Network charity, which is dedicated to making a positive impact in communities across Malawi.
Founded by Blackburn-based businessmen Hamza Suba and Helal Hussain, the Huffaz Network has successfully raised £400,000 since its inception.
Among its achievements is the establishment of a girls orphanage, providing vital support to those in need.
Last year’s event saw saw volunteers raise £16,900 to support the Garden of Sarah Project.
This year, Hamza and Helal are optimistic about exceeding that amount.
“It was wonderful to see the response from the local community last year.
“We had hundreds of people turn out and our volunteers did a magnificent job in helping to put on the event.
“This year we are hopeful that we can surpass last year’s total. There will be stalls and activities for the whole family to enjoy. ”
