The public parks in and around East Lancashire are a great resource which many of us probably take for granted.
This collection of photos from our archive shows some life in Blackburn’s Corporation Park in the 1990s.
The park was home to a series of funfairs and festivals which attracted hundreds of people. There were charity stalls, displays and traditional funfair rides.
Perhaps you took the family along to one of them or you were one of the many youngsters who queued up to have a go on the exciting rides.
If you have any photos of a funfair or festival in the park, we’d love to share them with Looking Back readers. Email them to bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment.
