This busy scene on Blackburn Boulevard was captured in 1927 when trams were as common as buses.
Look at all the ‘charabancs’ lined up waiting for passenger with their rows of benched seating.
In the background on the right of the picture you can see the offices of the Northern Daily Telegraph which would later become the Evening Telegraph.
