Some Virgin Media customers in Padiham have been without internet over the weekend.

People in the BB12 area, around Cambridge Drive, King Street and beyond, have reported broadband outages since Saturday (June 8).

A green box, used for telephone lines, broadband connections, and other communication infrastructure, was damaged in the area on Friday night (June 7) and Virgin engineers have been seen attempting to fix the damage.

Virgin Media has been approached for more details and to confirm if this is the cause of the internet outage.

Virgin has apologised to the “small number of customers” affected. It added that not all Virgin Media services are down.

A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We apologise to the small number of customers in the Padiham area who may be experiencing some disruption to their broadband.

"An engineer is currently on site working to fully restore services as quickly as possible.”
