A half-term event organised by Rawtenstall based Olive Branch Fostering proved to be a big hit with families.
Olive Branch hosted a Garden Club and a Bee Creative Event in the Olive Branch garden during the school break.
Young people learned how to use stones to help insects out of water when they get stuck and also spent time planting and labelling small plants, before drying them off inside.
The group also got creative making some wooden bumblebees, bee decorations, ceramic flowerpots, bee houses and bumblebee 'pom pom' kits.
The day was rounded off with honey tasting sessions.
Olive Branch registered manager, Gabi Hesk, said: “It was amazing what was achieved in just a day.
"Learning for not just our prospective carers, but for our young people indoors and out.
"It was such a privilege to watch the children not give a jot about the weather and just have fun.“
