We know how much Looking Back readers enjoy seeing photos of ‘lost’ pubs in East Lancashire. Here’s one which might bring back a few memories.
This photo was taken in August 1997 and shows what was then the Stokers and Queens on Darwen Street in Blackburn.
The Stokers Arms had stood on Darwen Street at the junction with Jubilee Street and Mill Lane since 1861.
The photo was taken when the pub was closing. The premises would be taken over by bridal shop Wedding Belles. Have you any memories of The Stokers?
