Once again, it’s time to shine a light on some of the best pubs in East Lancashire.

This week, we have chosen a newly-opened pub that was once listed as in 'five great country pubs close to Manchester' in Time Out magazine.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The White Rabbit is a beautiful Cafe and Pub located in Ramsbottom, who used to be called 'Hearth of the Ram'.

History of the pub:

Located on Peel Brow, Time Out described Hearth of the Ram as a beautiful two-hundred-year-old building that saw a major refurbishment in 2012, transforming it into 'one of the finest pub and restaurant venues in the region'.

The Hearth of the Ram owners retired, with new owners coming into refurbish the place as White Rabbit earlier this year.

It is now described as a 'cosy bar-restaurant with a log fire, a beer garden and smartly presented, British-inspired cuisine'.

What's the food like?

Food items on their menu include cheese and ploughman's sharing platters, Greek gyros, jacket potatoes, paninis, and freshly baked pies.

They also serve brunch everyday from 10am with 'a delicious selection of dishes to suit all tastes and appetites'.

Favourites include a Breakfast Burrito with bacon, sausage, cheese, Bury black pudding, ggg, baked beans and herby potato wrapped in a tortilla.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Describe the beer garden:

The premises not only includes a beer garden, but a new open air conservatory and terrace, perfect for good weather and busy events such as the Euro's football championship this summer.

Describe any deals on drinks:

Their 'Happy Hour' is Wednesday to Friday, from 4pm until 7pm, where deals include hand made premium cocktails at 3 for 2 and discounted draft beer, cask ale and cider.

Is there entertainment?

Entertainment includes 'Soul Survivor' nights, with the next of June 22, and live acoustic sessions from Marc Dawson, who will be playing live this Saturday (May 25) from 6pm, with free entry for all.

The White Rabbit is also dog friendly, is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am until 10pm (12am on Friday and Saturday), and has a private car park.

Lancashire Telegraph:
