A person was taken to hospital after being rescued by the fire service in Accrington.
Four fire engines from Hyndburn, Great Harwood, Chorley, and Preston, as well as an aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended the scene on Grange Lane at around 8.30pm last night (May 21).
Firefighters used a Husqvarna saw, a triple extension ladder, and small tools to rescue two people from height, with one then being placed in the care of North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
A fire service spokesperson said: “Four fire engines, together with an aerial ladder platform and an urban search and rescue team with several specialist appliances, attended a rescue at height on Grange Lane, Accrington.
“Firefighters used a Husqvarna saw, a triple extension ladder, and small tools to rescue to casualties at height. One casualty was then placed in the care of North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) paramedics before being taken to hospital.
“Crews were in attendance for one hour and 35 minutes.”
