Train users are being warned to expect delays through East Lancashire due to 'severe weather.'
Northern is warning that trains on their route between York and Blackpool North will be subject to a 50mph speed restriction in some areas.
This route runs through Burnley Manchester Road, Accrington, and Blackburn, as well as passing through other East Lancashire stations.
From 4pm today (May 22) until midday tomorrow (May 23), all services will be subject to a 50mph restriction between York and Hebden Bridge.
This is likely to cause delays further down the line in East Lancashire with trains running slower than scheduled.
A Northern spokesperson said: "Delays are to be expected on all the above routes and passengers travelling on these routes are advised to allow extra time for travel and to check all individual journeys before departure."
Parts of the county have been hit with a Met Office amber weather warning for rain between today and tomorrow, running alongside a yellow warning issued yesterday (May 21).
