A Darwen band have released the official video to their debut single ‘Raaz’.

The band Hollins released their debut single in April and have followed that up with a music video filmed on the streets of Darwen.

Hollins is made up of five members; Liam McIver, Ali Staley, Aiden Hughes, Andy Hoole, and Joe Summerfield, who are all from the Hollins Grove area of Darwen.

The video was shot in Whitehall Park and Darwen town centre and stars Harry, 13, and Max Pilkington, seven, who are band member Liam’s cousins.

In the video, Harry can be seen busking in the park before joining Max in the town centre.

It was filmed and directed by Nathaniel Holmes and Liam.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Liam said: “The boys really did an amazing job and also made £25 whilst filming them busking in the town centre thanks to the loving people of Darwen.

“We filmed it over two days in the park and then in the town centre.

“I had to teach Harry the full song and both of them were really good and you can see that in the video.”

Lancashire Telegraph:

The band’s music is described as a mix of ‘rock and roll, rap, and funk’.

They launched their first track at Sunbird Records in Darwen last month and are also due to play Darwen Live on Saturday, May 25, at the Sound Lounge.

Liam said the band only got together in January and the response from people to their music has been really good so far.

“In a short period of time we have had a lot of support from people locally.

“We are looking forward to playing at Darwen Live and it will be only our second official performance.

"Everyone is welcome and it will be great if we get a great crowd again.”

Following Darwen Live the band are hoping to go on to play their first gig in Manchester in the summer.
