A speed check site conducted in Lancashire saw nine traffic offence reports issued for excess speed, with the highest being 69 miles per hour in a 40 zone.

Yesterday, Wednesday, May 8, Lancashire Road Police conducted a speed check site on Watery Lane, Preston.

Nine traffic offence reports were issued for excess speed, with the highest being 69 miles per hour in a 40 zone.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Road Police said: "Speed check site conducted today on Watery Lane, Preston.

"Nine traffic offence reports issued for excess speed, the highest being 69 miles per hour in a 40 zone."
