A man is to be sentenced after being found unanimously guilty of nine historic sexual offences including one count of rape.
David Eamens, 46, was convicted following a trial at Burnley Crown Court last week.
The jury found Eamens, of Pinfold Place, Nelson, guilty of the following offences, which took place between 2012 and 2014:
- Three counts of sexual activity with a child
- Four counts of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent
- Attempted assault by penetration
- Rape
Eamans, who had continued to maintain his innocence throughout the trial, had been on conditional bail during proceedings.
Following his convictions, he was remanded into custody by Judge Daniel Prowse so that a pre-sentence report and victim personal statement could be prepared, with Judge Prowse telling Eamans he was “looking at a lengthy prison sentence”.
Eamans will be sentenced on July 15.
