Jordan North’s face has been painted on the back of a dirty van and fans are impressed by the artwork.

Ricky Minns, also known as Ruddy Muddy, creates art pieces by wiping away mud from his van.

He recently paid tribute to Burnley DJ Jordan North, and the other members of the Capital Breakfast team, by drawing their faces on the back of his muddy van.

The artwork also featured a caption that read: "Listen to the all new Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby."

Ricky, from Norfolk, said he was approached by the Capital team as they were looking for unique ways to promote their new Capital breakfast show.

He said: “They were looking for some promotion for the new breakfast show.

“My muddy [creations make great adverts] as it is mobile, a little like adverts on a bus but more creative and interesting.

“They were happy with the picture and asked me to be on the show. The whole team was really lovely.”

Fans have since taken to social media to praise the artwork, with one commenter saying “this is so cool”.

Jordan was recently announced as the new host of the Capital FM Breakfast Show.

He replaced former presenter Roman Kemp, who hosted the show for a decade.

Following Jordan's news, the BBC announced that Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing would be taking over his Radio 1 presenting role, alongside current and former co-host of North, Vick Hope.

In an episode of Jordan’s podcast Help I Sexted My Boss, which he hosts alongside etiquette expert William Hanson, Jordan explained more about his final Radio 1 broadcast.

According to Jordan, the BBC told him he had just broadcast his final radio show only 20 minutes before he was set to appear on another podcast called Dish.

Jordan said: “Listen to [Dish] because around 20 minutes before that recording I was called by the BBC to be told that was my last show.”

William said: “I am going to be serious now and I said this to you at the time. Considering you had the news that you did you were phenomenal.”
