Several roads across Watford are set to be shut to motorists for planned roadworks this month.

Neighbouring Anyho Street, Banbury Street and Souldern Street, along with a section of Queens Road, are due to be closed for micro surfacing works, while gas works are set to shut Leggatts Wood Avenue and Cherry Tree Road.

Motorists can also expect delays in Vicarage Road and Hagden Lane due to other works by utility companies.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks scheduled to take place in Watford over the coming weeks:

- Resurfacing works mean Woodside, Watford, will be closed to motorists from 9.30am to 4pm on Tuesday. Neighbouring Chestnut Walk will also be shut at the same time from the junction of Fuller Road to the junction of Beech Road to assist with these works.

- Delays are likely in Vicarage Road, Watford, from Wednesday to Friday, May 10 for works by Affinity Water. Two-way traffic lights will be in use in the road adjacent to Vicarage Road Cemetery.

- Motorists will be unable to access Souldern Street, Watford, from 7.30am to 6pm on May 13 to May 15 to allow micro surfacing aftercare works to be carried out.

- Neighbouring Banbury Street, Watford, will also be shut between 7.30am and 6pm from May 13 to May 15 for micro surfacing aftercare works. The road will be closed between Aynho Street and Vicarage Road.

- Gas works by Cadent mean Leggatts Wood Avenue, Watford, will be closed to drivers from May 13 to May 17. Neighbouring Cherry Tree Road will also be shut between these dates.

- A section of Queens Road, Watford, will be shut during each daytime from May 14 to May 16 for micro surfacing aftercare works. The road is due to be closed to vehicles from 9.30am to 4pm each day from the junction with Orphanage Road to Radlett Road.

- Aynho Street, Watford, will be closed to motorists from 7.30am to 6pm daily from May 14 to May 16 due to micro surfacing aftercare works. The road is set to be shut from Oxford Street to Souldern Street.

- Delays are likely in Hagden Lane, Watford, from May 14 to May 16 when Affinity Water will be carrying out works. Two-way traffic lights will be in use between the junctions with Sydney Road and Euston Avenue.
