The changing face of Blackburn.
This photo is from the 1950s and shows the area around Salford and Penny Street in Blackburn.
When major redevelopment of the town centre took place in the Sixties the Bay Horse Hotel (on the left of the photo behind the bus) and the Lord Nelson pub would be demolished.
On the right are buildings on the corner of Railway Road which are still standing today.
