A borough is introducing free yoga sessions to help people ‘breathe, stretch, and rejuvenate.’
The sessions are run by Rossendale Leisure Trust and will be held at Whitaker Park, Rawtenstall from Sunday, May 5 through to September.
The sessions will be run by qualified instructors and there is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
The Trust’s project officer, Julie Holden, said: “Although the sessions are free, they are run by different professional yoga teachers, and attendees will be asked to make a donation, if possible.
“Our goal is to introduce the free yoga sessions to help people breathe, stretch, and rejuvenate their mind, body, and soul.
“We have a number of different yoga instructors, all of whom have their own different style so participants can find the teacher that suits them best.
“We are hoping any donations received will mean the sessions can continue beyond September and, depending on how popular the Whitaker Park class becomes, we may look to roll this out to other parks across Rossendale.”
The sessions will be held from 9.30am to 10.30am each week.
Sessions will be weather dependent and updates will be shared on the Rossendale Leisure Trust website and Facebook page.
