A driver will appear in court after they were caught going 120mph on a motorway in Lancashire.

Police stopped the driver of the silver Mercedes-Benz SL 350 last night (April 16).

They were stopped on the M55 near Kirkham having been driving at the "dangerous" speed.

A police spokesperson said: "The driver of this vehicle was stopped by the sergeant and inspector after driving at a dangerous 120mph on the M55 near to Kirkham.

"Such behaviour is totally unacceptable and puts so many people at risk.

"He has been reported for the offence and will appear in court."
