A campaign which aims to put a smile on the faces of young patients has donated 1,000 gifts to local hospitals.

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust's official charity, ELHT&Me, accepted the donation from ‘Share a Smile’, for children's services.

The gifts included arts and crafts to toys and jigsaw puzzles which aimed to bring joy to young patients and their families.

Share a Smile had provided Quran cubes to resource the Trust's chaplaincy team.

Shazad Sarwar, chair at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, accepted the donation of toys, games, and activities and personally thanked the group for their generosity.

It was second consecutive year that Share a Smile has extended their support to ELHT&Me, the official charity of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
