Drivers faced long delays heading into and out of Darwen following a crash.
Traffic was backed up on Blackburn Road as emergency services deal with the incident, earlier this afternoon.
Blackburn Road is the main road that runs through the town and anyone planning the journey was asked to look for an alternative route that could take them through Lower Darwen.
The delays were leading up to the Crown Paints factory. Drivers coming off the M65 were affected as they headed towards Darwen.
A police spokesperson said: "We want to make you aware of an RTC that has happened on Blackburn Road in Darwen which is currently causing traffic delays into Blackburn town centre.
"Thankfully, no one has been injured, but until we can move the vehicles we ask people avoid the area and make alternative arrangements."
