Blackburn Youth Darts Academy and Shad Chefs Man Hub are going head-to-head for a charity fundraiser.

The money raised will go towards supporting both organisations. This will have the youth section, with players aged between six and 18, play darts with the 'Shad Chefs' of Blackburn.

Blackburn Youth Darts Academy director, Keith Brunt, said: "I started the Academy to provide young people within Lancashire the opportunity to learn and progress into the sports of darts."

The Youth Darts Academy was established in 2017 and has recently celebrated its seventh anniversary. The players practice at Saint Paul's Working Men's Club.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Blackburn Shad Chefs Man Hub offers a ‘safe, confidential space’ for men over the age of 18 to go and speak and socialise with other men, aiming to raise awareness of men's mental health.

The Chefs have previously taken part in a skydive to raise money for the hub. They also offer a ‘Women's Hub’, which aims to get women talking about their mental health.

The Women's Hub gathers at Shadsworth Hub, in Rothesay Road, Shadsworth, on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm, and the Men’s Hub gathers at St Oswald's Church, Blackburn, on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm.

The darts challenge will take place at Saint Paul's Working Men's Club, Montague Street, on Sunday, April 28. All are welcome to attend and to find out more see the Shad Chefs Facebook Page.
